Discerning good design from bad design is not unlike noting the difference between a 93-point bottle of cabernet and a mediocre table wine. So, when the CCCVB approached 20/10 Solutions to design a print ad to promote the Brandywine Valley’s Wine Trail, we dusted off our finest leaded crystal, summoned our inner wine connoisseurs, and got down to business – designing, that is. Here we blended classic map symbols and road sign themes to create a fun teaser ad that both captures the reader’s attention and directs them to the client’s website for more information. Here’s a tip: Be sure to integrate and cross-reference your website in your print ads and other marketing materials. It’s all about driving tracking. In this instance, quite literally.

They say that puns and other humorous wordplays are the sign of a high IQ. That may be so. But in this case, we thought it just made for a catchy headline. The Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau recruited 20/10 Solutions to help drive tourism beyond the “usual” historic sites in Olde City. Easily recognizable images such as Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell provide visual cues that introduce the idea of exploring the lesser known, but equally as historic sites within walking distance of Philly’s most popular sightseeing attractions. Tip: Never underestimate the power and value of a good copywriter. Readers like engaging, narrative style copy. Trust us.
Project DetailsBoost tourism and enable the client to control their own content? Done. The Chester County Conference Visitors Bureau (CCCVB) partnered with 20/10 to create a new website to promote tourism in the beautiful Brandywine Valley area. A new membership database with registration functionality has made the site an essential communication tool. In addition to enabling the website for e-commerce transactions, 20/10 also enabled the client to create market-specific tourism landing pages. It also incorporated social media channels, such as Facebook and Twitter, to spread the word!

Project DetailsHow you communicate is just as important as the words you choose to say. With that in mind, the Grand Re-Opening of the Independence Visitor Center was a high-profile milestone for the organization and it required a strategic communications effort. 20/10 Solutions designed the Independence Visitor Center Corporation’s 2009 Annual Report, which featured new event space and a newly developed art exhibit area. The final report showcased the Visitor Center as a hub to visitors far and wide – and for locals as well. We really hope you’re taking notes.
Project DetailsWith the creation of the "Friends of the Chester County Historical Society," came new events for the Historical Society. CCHS, a non-profit organization with less target market experience than an empty pint glass, asked 20/10 Solutions to design the logo and ad campaign for this 1st Annual Historic Pub Tour. As a result, the 1st Annual Historic Pub Tour was a huge success with local residents and restaurants, and 20/10 is currently planning CCHS’s 2nd Annual Historical Pub Tour. We’ll raise a glass to that!

Project DetailsEasily one of the most recognizable brands in the world, McDonald's is the world's #1 fast-food company by sales, with about 32,000 restaurants serving burgers and fries in about 120 countries. 20/10 Solutions worked with a local McDonald’s leadership team to implement a strategic public relations campaign aimed at recruiting young talent. The integrated campaign, which also included print design components, was centered around a new, video-rich site that plays success stories of employees who launched their careers at McDonald’s and are now successful franchise owners.

Brand tip: Logos should be like a haiku; simple, carefully constructed, and convey a story or capture an emotion. Working with the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau, 20/10 Solutions created the brand identity for “Plan It Philly.” This online application allows Meeting Planners to gather information for planning a meeting in Philadelphia within a few minutes. And, by the way, 20/10 Solutions has been working with the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau since the year 2000. That’s like 10 years of design and marketing partnership! Just saying.
